Dear Fellow Fayson Lake Member,
The project to rebuild the dam between West Lake and South Lake, in conjunction with the temporary closing of Dam Road for the Fayson Lakes Water Company project, has prompted much discussion about the efficacy of building a road on the new dam.
After hearing from Association members and weighing the advantages and disadvantages (including preliminary design options with the Dam Committee and the consulting firm designing the project), it is the Board's intention to not replace Dam Road, but include a path for pedestrians and bicycles.
There are many considerations regarding this decision - cost, access, quality of life, and more - and we encourage all members who feel strongly about this issue to attend an open meeting on Thursday, November 30th at 7:00PM at the Fayson Lakes Clubhouse. The Board will consider all discussion at the meeting, and then vote on this issue at its next regular meeting on Monday, December 4th.
We have created a temporary email address where you can post questions and provide your input on the subject.
